Today's post is gonna be a short and sweet one^^ Sharing with you all one of the best places to have cheap chirashi and reasonably priced sashimi. Sukuraya Fish Mart has three outlets in Singapore; one at Parkway Parade Mall, Anchorpoint, and West Coast Plaza. The one May and I visited together with Joey was the one at Parkway Parade.
The menu is included at the bottom. We ordered a Special Chirashi Don ($20), Bara Chirashi Don ($15), a Chirashi Don ($14) and some fresh catch of the day off the counter. In total we spent about $70 in total which was rather reasonable. I went back another time and had a Salmon and Salmon Roe Don at an offer price of $12! (They usually have some promotions there which are value for your money! You should keep a look out!)
Chirashi Don:
- All raw fishes and prawn was rather fresh.
- Portion was absolutely reasonable.
- Amount of raw fish given was really reasonable.
- Amount of seaweed was enough to have some seaweed at every bite of rice.
- There was a thin layer of grated egg slices covering the rice at the bottom of the raw fish which was a lovely touch.

Fresh Fish off the counter:
- Prices are supposedly wholesale prices. But to be honest, it just feels like the kinda price you can get from any of your supermarkets.
- The only difference is that they can give you a sashimi cut. We gave them instructions to separate the fish to three portions which resulted each slice of the fish to be too thin and each slice had a different slice which was a waste of a good slab of fresh fish.
- So we advice you to allow the chef to do as he pleases without giving much instructions hahas.
Overall, we would say that this is a must go! The food there is soooo good!! Doing a mid night post makes me hungry!!!!!!!!!! Bahhhh~till next time!
